1973 ??? No way !!! This is a T1 split window Samba (original or not)! Maybe a 1963 if it's not a Brazil fake... ?!? The german original ones started as a bay window in Model 1968, means August 1967, so a 1973 would still be a T2a. 1974 the T2b started, with optional pancake 1.7l-2.0l engine till the end of production in 1979. Than came the 'brick' T3 till the early 90th... You guys at Volo know a lot about American Muscles, but on foreign cars, especially germans, you lose it. Maybe you need to hire an expert on that topic ?!? I'm available while kind of retired anyways... Off course, depends on your offer... ;-) At least the lights did work on this one, plus, if it's an original, the price is fair enough... Have a nice day... ;-)

1973 Brazilian Volkswagen Type 2 = not the same as a German manufactured Type 2. This split window design ended in German production 1967. Brazil production Type 2 vans were a hodge podge mix of various year model features in both exterior & interior design.

I love this car-truck or whatever you want to call it I have a 1986 last generation El Camino and it rain like a sewing machine before a bolt broke off in the intake manifold so it’s been replaced and I need someone to help me fix it’s killing me letting it sit there but I can’t do that work anymore

I'm not positive but I think only 502 of this model and year ever made

Around 10 years ago it was on a TV auction in California and it could only fetch $50K.

Very nice car. My dad's first super stocker was a white 1962 Plymouth Savoy (Plymouth's equivalent to the Dart) 413/410 that he raced for Al Roberts Plymouth in 1962. He raced two 1963 Plymouths for the dealership (a white 426/415 Savoy and a red 426/425 Belvedere) until he bought a new '63 Savoy 426/425 late in the model year. He raced it with quite a bit of success until selling it in late 1969 to take care of my mom's long recovery from two near fatal strokes that she suffered that year. Growing up in my pre driving age days with my dad racing his Plymouth led to me racing my own 426 Mopars at NHRA events starting when I was 18. Still racing my 426/4 speed NHRA B/S class '64 Dodge today. As for my dad's aluminum front end 426 Savoy, I bought it back almost exactly 48 years after he sold it. It has never seen any rust or damage in its entire life. Even the entire interior is still the original 61 year old one that the car was built with, and has no flaws.
